More 450+ Customer Reviews
Of all of the airless paint sprayers we reviewed, the Graco Magnum X5 is definitely our favorite and our top pick to buy. If your goal is an exterior, decks, fences, or walls, then look no further than here. For those who are used to using a normal brush to get their painting done – it’s time to step up your game. You don’t need to spend hours upon hours anymore to get the job done. The time you will save with this paint sprayer will be immense.
There are a number of things that set the Graco apart from it’s competitors, so we will go over our favorite features here.
What Sets The Magnum 262800 Apart?
The first is the comfort grip. When you are handling a high performance machine for an extended machine, comfort is crucial. It isn’t worth the time you save if you are hurting after. The comfort grip provided allows for extended use and no soreness after.
Next is instructions. There are a lot of products that give you a substandard instruction set for setting up the product for use. While the written instructions here aren’t the best, you also get a DVD which will walk you through getting it up and running properly. One of the things you will see while looking through the instruction set is information about the power flush cleaning. Sometimes painting can be a mess, but luckily the power flush feature makes this less painful by reducing the amount of work you do.

What Do Customers Have to Say?
A few of the common positive mentions
Overall, the reviews of this paint sprayer are very good. The big plus here is the fact that you aren’t holding a cup of paint when working – you are just holding a gun. The external paint container makes it easy to paint in any direction without much hassle. The larger container also allowed users to go much longer periods of time without refilling, allowing them to get done much faster. Another positive mention is the durability. Despite being very easy to move around (another plus!), it also holds up very well. The steel material for the pistol keeps it light, and allows for durability.
Along with less refills, the total amount of spray you can put on per hour is great. It has a rating of .24 gallons per hour which is a very good amount. Even large jobs will take a lot less time when you are going at this speed. You should just be aware that you will probably use more paint than you are used to if this is your first time – so prepare for that.
A Few Negative Comments
Of course, not every product is without it’s faults… and the Graco has a few. While the DVD instruction is a great addition – the written instructions are lacking. If you are the reading type then you will likely be disappointed here. There has also been mention of suction loss when you begin to get down to the lower levels of your paint containers. This can make it harder to continue once the paint is almost empty, but in the grand scheme of things it shouldn’t be much of a deterrent.
While it is fairly easy to move on it’s own – it could have also used wheels. It is movable for this type of product, but it is still on the heavier side as a machine. Wheels would just be icing on the cake.
What Do We Think in the End?
As we mentioned in the beginning of the review, this is our favorite product of all of the ones we reviewed. We think it is the best paint sprayer you can get if you are going airless and need something for a larger product. The reviews seem to align with this though. We give it two thumbs up.
